ORGANIC SHORT HANDLED STRING SHOPPING BAG
Organic
Organic farming is a form of agriculture that uses crop rotations, organic manure, compost and biological pest control techniques. In organic agriculture, the use of fertilizers and pesticides, growth hormones, additives, and genetically modified organisms are strictly excluded, meaning it’s better for your food, for you and for the environment. Organic agriculture is designed to sustain the health of soils, ecosystems and people, so you can relax when purchasing organic foods, knowing they are good for you and for the world we live in.
Recycle-Reuse
We have a range of products here that are designed to be re-used or that can easily be recycled when they come to the end of their life cycle. With durable plastic water bottles with filters along with battery chargers and reusable cloths, everything here is intended to help you reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill from your home which is much better for the planet.
Plastic Free
Enjoy a plastic-free life with our range of everyday essentials that are completely plastic free! That means the products themselves as well as the packaging are made without any plastics, making them a much more eco-friendly option!
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
Vegan
Vegan products are entirely free from animal produce or by-produce. Vegetable, mineral or derived synthetic alternatives are generally acceptable in the vegan diet, however, the manufacture and development of vegan products must not involve or have involved any any animal product, byproduct or derivative. The product must also have avoided animal testing at all stages.
Here at Natural Collection we stock a wide range of products suitable for vegans, many of these have the Vegan Society certification printed on the packaging.
Please note that occasionally products can end up here accidentally so we ask that you always double check the ingredients, and if you do think a product is incorrectly labelled as vegan, please don’t hesitate to get in touch through the ‘ask a question’ button on the product page.
Fair Trade
Fair trade is a social movement to help alleviate global poverty and promote sustainability through consumerism. The movement promotes and upholds the payment of fair prices to farmers and workers, as well as maintaining and improving social and environmental standards in areas related to the production of the goods. Fair trade focuses on exports from developing countries to the developed countries. The main fair trade products are coffee, chocolate, sugar, tea, honey, and wine although more are added all the time.
The intention of the fair trade movement is to work with marginalised producers to help them move from vulnerable positions to security and economic self sufficiency. Fair trade organisations actively play a wider role in the global arena to achieve greater equity in international trade.
Fair Trade – BAFTS
BAFTS stands for the British Association of Fair Trade Shops, which is a network of independent fair trade shops based all around the UK.
BAFTS seeks to raise the profile of fair trade on the high street by promoting fair trade retailing in the UK. In order to become a shop registered with BAFTS, suppliers must meet the stringent criteria set out by the association, ensuring that work is guided by principles of mutual respect, social justice and equal partnership; committed to fair trade principles, paying fair prices to producers and paying respects to traditional craft methods.
